VALE Barbara Beasley-Southgate

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved member and friend Barbara Beasley-Southgate on 16 June 2019. She will be sorely missed and the Society would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband Dennis, her daughters family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held for Barbara at Lilydale Crematorium Memorial Chapel, 126-128 Victoria Road, Lilydale  VIC  3140

at 10am on Thursday 20 June 2019

An invitation is extended to our members – all are welcome to attend this celebration of Barbara, her life, and her lifetime of wonderful artistic achievements.

Barbara was an inspiration to so many with her beautiful art work that drew the admiration of all who knew her sensitive, unerring understanding of her subject matter, particularly of the Australian landscape. Barbara recently had the distinction of being the recipient of the Pastel Society of Victoria, Australia Inc.s Inaugural Signature Award, which capped a career of excellence.  She will be sorely missed.

Barbara was absolutely delighted to receive this prestigious award for her achievements in pastel painting. We are thankful that the timely presentation of this award brought her some joy.
