What started out as a hobby 20 years ago, soon turned into a full time career. Cathie has studied with many well-known teachers and learnt a variety of styles and mediums. Cathie travelled to the US, where she completed a course with the renowned Pastellist Daniel E Greene.

Cathie has gained a wealth of inspirational material from her travels locally and overseas. She enjoys painting portraits, life drawings, historical buildings, landscapes and romantic garden scenes. Cathie has four successful solo exhibitions to her credit and exhibits in many group exhibitions. During her career she has won 20 first prizes and 50 commendations.

Her paintings have been published in - Australian Artist Magazine - Feb 2000, Sept 2000, and Feb 2003 Pastel International - Aug 2000 and Aug 2001
