Nola Clark

Nola is well known for her works in pastel, but she also enjoys the challenge of acrylic, oil, watercolour, graphite, pen and ink, charcoal, along with coloured pencils and oil pastels.  She has always had a passion for painting animals, domestic and wild, big and small, but her subject matter varies widely, and includes landscapes, seascapes, architecture and cityscapes, many of which have won awards over the years.

An Art Critic once wrote “Her art is as varied as a room full of artists, emanating a rare freshness and individuality” .She enjoys a liberal demand for commissioned works and is represented in private and corporate collections worldwide.

She is currently a member or the Pastel Society of Victoria, the Australian Guild of Realist Artists and Ringwood Art Society, of which she held the office of President for seven years.

Nola has been teaching pastel and drawing for almost twenty years and also regularly acts as a Judge for art exhibitions, and accepts many invitations to demonstrate in the mediums of pastel, charcoal and drawing.  Her work together with an accompanying demonstration was recently featured in the magazine “Artist’s Palette” issue number 45.
