Helen was born Melbourne and raised in Essendon. She began painting seriously in 1980 working in pastel, oil and mixed media.
Her subject matter includes portraits, figure drawing and landscapes. Helen has studied under Betty Parsons, Pat Shannon, Ming Mackay, David Taylor, and Margaret Cowling.
Her work is represented in the Shire of Goulburn and also in collections with Darebin City Council and the Peter McCallum Institute in addition to private collections in Victoria, interstate and overseas.
Helen is a foundation member of The Pastel Society of Victoria; a signatory member of the Victorian Artists' Society, and a member of the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors.
